Kris left his desk job at a government contractor in the fall of 2020 for a complete 180 degree career change and leap of faith: to study to become an electrician. He received his master's electrician license (#2710076504) in the spring of 2023 and Daniel Electric launched in July.
Kris grew up in the San Francisco Bay area witnessing the hard work of his father, an entrepreneur and electrical engineer, and his grandfathers, both skilled tradesmen who could build anything from cars to houses from scratch. Inspired by their hands-on approach to work, and the example of his parents who run an independent cable TV company together, Kris was driven to learn the electrical trade and launch a small business of his own.
Previously, Kris worked at an energy policy non-profit in Washington D.C., so he knows a thing or two about the electric grid, but later discovered how much he prefers the hands-on work of the electrical trade. During his electrical training, he worked as an apprentice at MC Dean and as a journeyman electrician for Reddick & Sons.
To Kris, the work of the electrician is truly a skilled craft that takes thoroughness and high attention to detail. With his methodical approach and perfectionist mentality, he focuses on producing clean and excellent work for his customers.
Kris happily serves the entire Northern Virginia area with white collar professionalism and stellar communication and customer service. He lives in Purcellville, Virginia with his wife and office manager, Elise, and three kids.
